New Guidance to Fight False Claims

In August, new guidelines were issued to tackle the dissemination of false narratives on digital platforms, which had intensified after the deadly attack of three schoolgirls in a English town previously.

However, advocates warned that this move could lead to an excessive focus on the racial background of those accused and spark further extremist narratives when details are not shared with the public.
