Loyal supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a individual who breached a fence and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video reveals the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though court documents showed that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

History of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account includes recordings of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

A number of supporters also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while others requested social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of attendees had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-part adaptation of the well-known theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of the previous year in the UK, and earned ten Oscar nominations, earning two for best costume and production design.
